Horizon Report
Social computing, personal broadcasting, mobile phone use, educational gaming, augmented reality and enhanced visualisation are the six emerging trends identified as likely to have a significant impact in higher education. This annual research report, produced by the New Media Consortium (NMC) and the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative, is part of the continuing work of the NMC’s Horizon Project. This research-oriented effort seeks to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have a large impact on teaching, learning, or creative expression within higher education.
